On February 28, 2025, the Lawyer Bill Huang and the Lawyer Napassawan Menkoon (Fah) from Tahota Bangkok Law Firm, warmly welcomed the Lawyer Yan Zhichun, a partner from Guizhou Fudi Law Firm, along with her team in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. The two parties had in-depth discussions on the legal needs of Chinese enterprises in Southeast Asia and international development strategies of law firms.

At the symposium, the Lawyer Huang Zihao elaborated on the legal ecosystem between China and Thailand, introducing the local legal regulations and business environment in Thailand. He also shared the concept of dual-track model, “localization + internationalization”, of Tahota Bangkok Law Firm to provide full-cycle legal services for Chinese-funded projects. He mentioned that the economic and trade cooperation between China and Thailand has spurred a demand for cross-border legal services. However, the complex policies and fluctuant market have made it challenging for enterprises to expand overseas. Recently, Chinese-funded enterprises in Thailand have faced new regulatory challenges such as enterprise establishment and tax reforms, urgently requiring professional guidance. Chinese lawyers should be well-prepared to safeguard the overseas expansion of Chinese enterprises.

As Guizhou enterprises expand their operations in infrastructure, agriculture, and other sectors in Thailand, the demand for cross-border legal services continues to grow.
